EAST AUSTIN, TX — The bird is the word. Specifically, Bird Bird Biscuit is the word (or three words, specifically) as the breakfast-centric spot opens in East Austin on Thursday.
The Austin360 blog reports the restaurant specializing in biscuits, biscuit sandwiches and doughnuts opened Thursday at 2701 Manor Rd. The eatery was founded by Thunderbird Coffee’s co-owner Ryan McElroy and that popular coffee shop’s former general manager Brian Batch.
The menu at Bird Bird features breakfast and lunch offerings, with such delights as Bird BirdBacon (bacon, over-medium egg, cheddar and bacon-infused chipotle mayo) the vegetarian Lush Life (made with fried eggplant, pickled onions, mozzarella, basil, garlic tomato jam) and sweet options like the Childhood (made with roasted peanut butter, milk chocolate chips, banana, chocolate), as Austin360 reported.
