Central Health Unveils East Travis County Mobile Clinic
Ribbon-cutting ceremony officially launches new resource for taking health care to one of the region's most impoverished areas.

EAST AUSTIN, TX — Central Health-funded CommUnityCare Health Centers officials said they will start seeing patients on Monday inside a new mobile clinic parked in Colony Park and Creedmoor, communities in eastern Travis County region marked by high rates of uninsured residents, families living in poverty, and limited access to health services.
Inside the 40-foot bus, CommUnityCare will offer primary care, preventive care, vaccines, lab services, chronic disease management, and limited pharmacy services. The bus will be up and running in earnest on Monday, June 24. The mobile clinic will be open 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays and Fridays at Barbara Jordan Elementary School (6711 Johnny Morris Road), Wednesdays at the Turner-Roberts Recreation Center (7201 Colony Loop Drive), and Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Creedmoor Community Center (12511 FM 1625).
Central Health, CommUnityCare Health Centers, Travis County and City of Creedmoor officials celebrated the arrival of the mobile clinic at the Creedmoor Community Center on Thursday, June 20, with a ceremonial ribbon cutting. The mobile clinic is now poised to welcome its first official patient on Monday, June 24, at Barbara Jordan Elementary School.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place from 10 a.m. to noon at Creedmor Community Center, 12511 FM1625. Among those attending were Travis County Pct. 4 Commissioner Margaret Gomez, Travis County Pct. 4 Constable George Morales, City of Creedmoor Officials, community members, and representatives of Central Health and Central Health-funded CommUnityCare Health Centers.
