East Austin Getting A Hopdoddy Burger Bar Location

EAST AUSTIN, TEXAS — The popular Austin restaurant chain Hopdoddy Burger Bar is expanding with two new locations.

Eater Austin reports a new Hopdoddy location is in the offing on 4624 W. William Cannon Dr. in Oak Hill sometime in April. The approach is a more streamlined version of the typical restaurant, with food served at a faster pace. This speed of service calls for a pared-down menu centered on a five-ounce patty served with various ingredients. There's also a chicken breast option and an assortment of salad offerings, according to the website.

Hopdoddy also is opening an East Austin location in the Plaza Saltillo sometime in late 2019, Eater Austin reported. The popularity of the original restaurant on South Congress opened in 2010 hasn't waned in popularity in the intervening years, as evidenced by the long lines of patrons eager to get inside the place each weekend. Since then, the chain has expanded with locations throughout the country.
