East Austin Peruvian Restaurant 'Yuyo' To Offer Weekend Brunch
Start things off with a Maracuya mimosa or a spicy Pisco bloody mary followed with Choclo Pancakes using Andean corn.or Huevos Benedictos.

EAST AUSTIN, TEXAS — Yuyo, the only restaurant in Austin offering Peruvian fare, will kick off its brunch service this coming weekend, officials announced.
If this sounds to your liking, you might start with a Maracuya mimosa or a spicy Pisco bloody mary. One-of-a-kind menu offerings include Choclo Pancakes using Andean corn served with chancaca syrup and fresh fruit. The Huevos Benedictos features poached eggs with aji amarillo hollandaise, jamon royal, and yuca cheese breads.
If an all-American brunch is more your style, consider El Jefe — two eggs, choice of sausage, jamon royal, or Applewood bacon, and yuca cheese bread. "Select dinner menu classics will be offered as well if you're hankering for something more Peruvian savory," Yuyo officials wrote in a press alert. "See you this weekend and the next!"

The new offering comes on the heels of Chef Maribel Rivero's inclusion as a James Beard Award Best Chef Southwest semi-finalist nominee. The restaurant is located at 1900 Manor Rd. in East Austin. The new brunch service takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Yuyo, El Chile Group’s newest contemporary Peruvian restaurant in Austin, TX, is a collaborative project from owners and siblings, Carlos Rivero and Executive Chef Maribel Rivero. Paying homage to Peru’s national dish – cebiche – Yuyo’s Cebiche Bar is a central part of the restaurant’s culinary program and offers made-to-order cebiche. In addition to cebiche, Yuyo’s menu features ###em- iconic savory street food and other Peruvian inspired snacks; Veggies, artfully prepared in celebration of Peruvian ingredients and their diversity; and Specialties, main entrees with an emphasis on Gulf seafood and chef-inspired specialties.
The restaurant’s bar program offers a carefully curated wine list, as well as classic hand-shaken cocktails crafted with Peruvian Pisco, a liquor that is distilled from grapes and unique to the region. Opening Fall 2017 in trendy East Austin, Yuyo’s warm and welcoming ambiance celebrates the essence of Peru.
