Here's a Map That Shows Just How Obese Texans Are
It might be all that barbecue and beer.

Texas is certainly known for its food, whether it’s barbecue, tex-mex or just a can of Lone Star beer (that counts as food, right?).
According to the Centers for Disease Control, all that delicious food is making us fat. A new survey shows that 31.9 percent of adults in Texas are overweight.
Texas is not alone. There are 19 states that rank between 30 and 35 percent.

Across the country, the Midwest had the highest prevalence of obesity at 30.7 percent, followed by the South with 30.6 percent, the Northeast at 27.3 percent, and the West at 25.7 percent.
The fattest state in the country? That honor goes to Arkansas.

No state had an obesity rate of less than 20 percent.
