Honor Flight Austin Transports 50 Vets To Washington, D.C.
Area military veterans who served in World War II, Korea, Vietnam were flown out to see and experience memorials built in their honor.

AUSTIN, TEXAS — Honor Flight Austin will transport 50 Austin-area veterans of World War II, Korean and Vietnam War veterans to the nation's capital on Friday to visit and experience memorials created in their honor.
The veterans are scheduled to arrive in the ticketing area at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) at approximately 10 a.m. before traveling across the terminal to Gate 21 around 11 a.m. The TSA Honor Guard and Austin Police Department bag pipes will lead the veterans procession, airport officials added.
After that, Honor Flight Austin will depart the airport at 11:55 a.m. before arriving at Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) at 4 p.m. The veterans are scheduled to return Saturday, April 6, departing from Washington, D.C. at 3 p.m. and arriving in Austin by 5:45 p.m.

Honor Flight Austin To Fly 50 Vets To Washington, D.C.
The Hilton Austin Airport is a corporate sponsor of Honor Flight Austin, while lunch and refreshments are provided to veterans courtesy of ThunderCloud Subs. Trips on Honor Flight are made possible at no cost to the veterans through donations. The April 5 flight is sponsored by Nyle Maxwell Family of Dealerships to honor the U.S. veterans of all branches.
Honor Flight Austin is a non-profit organization created to honor veterans by transporting them to visit and reflect at their war memorials. Honor Flight Austin serves veterans residing within Bastrop, Bell, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Gillespie, Gonzales, Hays, Lee, Llano, Milam, Travis and Williamson Counties.
