Il Brutto Restaurant In East Austin Launches Brunch Menu

Non-regional Italian fare from Executive Chef Erind Halilaj offers brunch favorites from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday.

EAST AUSTIN, TX — Il Brutto, New Waterloo's Italian neighborhood restaurant in East Austin, has officially launched its weekend brunch service.

Featuring pappardelle, brunch pizza, avocado toast and more, the non-regional Italian menu from Executive Chef Erind Halilaj offers a variety of brunch favorites from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday, restaurant officials said.

  • Uova In Camicia: Italian poached egg, smoked salmon, burrata, grilled tomato, basil ($13)
  • Uova Strappazzate: soft scrambled eggs, shiitake, zucchini, parmigiano reggiano, thyme ($11)
  • Avocado Toast: Italian roasted ham, poached egg, goat cheese, roasted beets, yogurt, dill ($12)
  • Brunch Pizza: pork sausage, roasted peppers, red onion, mozzarella, fried egg, thyme ($17)

Alongside the Italian twists on American brunch classics, guests may also find cocktails that pair perfectly with the food offerings. These selections include:

  • Bubbly, build your own mimosa: orange ($3), grapefruit ($3), cucumber celery ($4), peach ($6), strawberry basil ($6)
  • Bloody, mild or spicy: vodka ($8), tequila ($8), mezcal ($11)
  • Italian Sunrise: campari, limoncello, orange juice ($9)
  • Sicilian Iced Tea: grapefruit vodka, averna, lemon, Topo Chico ($11)
