Man Threatens East Austin Strip Club After Being Bounced: Police

Jose Rendon, 31, was kicked out of the establishment before returning to retrieve his phone, and things went downhill from there.

EAST AUSTIN, TEXAS — A man was arrested this week after allegedly making a terroristic threat against a strip club from where he had previously been kicked out, according to reports.

Police received a disturbance call just before 2:30 a.m. on Thursday morning alerting to the incident at a strip club along the 3700 block of North Interstate 35 service road northbound, KXAN reported. The suspect, Jose Rendon, 31, was said to have been banging on the door saying he left his cell phone inside the establishment, according to the report.

When police arrived, they learned Rendon had been evicted from the strip club previously that night, the news station reported. Rendon is said to have said to the strip club's staff: "You've got five minutes, or I'll ram the door down."

Securing no response from staff, Rendon allegedly crept his vehicle closer and closer to the door, the report indicates, eventually achieving a distance of about a mere two feet from the entrance. Police issued a warrant for Rendon as a result, charging him with the Class B misdemeanor of making a terroristic threat.
