Nonstop Service from Austin to London Launched For SXSW
Starting in March, Norwegian Air will offer its seasonal service amid growing demand for the flights, officials at the carrier said.

AUSTIN, TEXAS — Just in time for South by Southwest, Norwegian Air will soon be launching its seasonal non-stop service between Austin and London, airport officials said.
Service between the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and Gatwick Airport in London is set to resume on March 1, officials announced Tuesday. “We are excited to return to Austin with our non-stop London service for a second year," said Matthew Wood, Senior Vice President Long-Haul Commercial, Norwegian. "This year we are starting the season early, launching on March 1, to cover South by Southwest and meet the high demand.
Wood noted that London is the airliner's most popular destination within its network, and demand for the service has grown steadily from Texas. "On the flip side, Austin and Texas overall are becoming more popular as a leisure destination for Europeans," Wood added. "This route will continue to boost the local economy.”
