EAST AUSTIN, TEXAS — Chuy' Tex Mex restaurant, one of Austin's most prominent eateries, is slated to open its first location in East Austin at the developing Plaza Saltillo mixed-use development, according to a published report.

The restaurant will be part of a tenant mix that includes JuicLand, Tarka Indian Kitchen, Dolce Neve gelato, Hopdoddy and others at the complex encompassing six blocks east of I-35 between East Fourth and 5th streets, Austin 360 reported.

“We are thrilled about the opportunity to bring Chuy’sto East Austin," Michael Hatcher, Chuy's vice president of real estate and development, told the outlet. "We are still working with the development to finalize details, so no specific dates are known at this time. We are also very excited to continue our partnership with Endeavor Real Estate Group in our hometown of Austin where Chuy’s was born over 36 years ago.”
