2 Teens Critically Injured In East Austin Shooting (Updated)

Medics said two male teens suffered injuries deemed as life-threatening after violence along 6000 block of Felix Avenue on Saturday.

AUSTIN, TEXAS — Two teenager are in critical condition with life-threatening injuries following a shooting in East Austin on Saturday afternoon.

Austin-Travis County EMS officials said via Twitter the call of shots fired came in at 3:49 p.m., with the incident occurring along the 6000 block of Felix Avenue. Police and fire officials also descended onto the scene after the initial call was made.

In the aftermath, two male teenagers were rushed to area hospitals with injuries that medics categorized as life-threatening in a follow-up tweet at 4:20 p.m. It's unknown what may have prompted the violence or whether any arrests have been made.
