Student Elected to Nation's Most Prestigious Academic Honor Society

An Austin Native student is named to the honor society at Knox College.

EAST AUSTIN, TX - From Knox College: Emily Tubbs Rosen of Austin, Texas, recently was elected to the Knox College chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, which is the nation's most prestigious academic honor society.

Almost 40 Knox students in the Class of 2017 and the Class of 2018 earned the distinction. Knox's PBK chapter is the fourth oldest in Illinois and the first at an exclusively undergraduate, four-year liberal arts college in the state.

Founded in 1837, Knox College is a national liberal arts college in Galesburg, Illinois. Knox enrolls students from nearly every state and more than 50 countries and is one of the 40 Colleges That Change Lives. Knox's "Old Main" is a National Historic Landmark and the only building remaining from the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas debates.
