What kind of music do you make?

We make Hip-Hop, Rap, Rnb, Pop, Rock, dancehall and cloud music. We try to make music that will last. The goal is for every song we create to become relatable and classics. Our lyrics usually is made during the heat of the moment, we normally vibe off of each other and then boom! The song is done. Pay attention to the lyrics we say, we only use trap beats sometimes to pull our crowd in, but the bars is there, rest assure. We have so many major influences, we could list so many moguls for days. So to just list a random 5 it would be: Lil Wayne, Michael Jackson, Anthony Hamilton, Bone Thugz N Harmony and Z-Ro.

How old are you and when did you start creating music?

The group Tribe Mafia is 8 years old.

Carlos Moore is 24 years old. Chinasa Broxton is 23 years old We started creating music in high school.

What are your goals when it comes to your music career?

Our goals is to support our families with the income we make with music. Another goal of ours is to help other indie artist create a name for themselves and to instill confidence. A lot of times us entrepreneurs can feel hopeless because of our line of work. We want to share our story to let others know, it’s possible to do it, because we did it. What do you want the reader to know about you and your music?

Tribe Mafia, an American hip-hop duo, is comprised of two talented individuals, Chinasa Broxton and Carlos Moore. Based out of Austin, TX, these “Hometown Heroes” hardly ever have a chance to stay home anymore. Tribe Mafia has had the opportunity to tour across the world to perform with rap legend Akon, land hit songs “Like Cola” on public radio and collaborate with a plethora of other well-known, emerging artists.

Tribe Mafia is well-known for making public appearances at local events and for their creative, high-energy performances they bring to each show. In addition to their amazing performances, Tribe Mafia is best known in the greater Austin hip-hop community for their quarterly “Tribe Mafia Listening Party”. The group started the production of their “Listening Parties” to help build a platform for other upcoming artists to showcase their talent and network with individuals with a common interest in music.

Among other accomplishments, Tribe Mafia has competed and won in renowned competitions, such as “Coast 2 Coast”, the world’s largest indie artist showcase. Shortly after this event, they received a distribution deal with Sony’s The Orchard on the behalf of Indie Nation.
