Texas Man Accused Of Gluing Child's Eyes And Mouth Shut
Johnnie Lee Carter was charged with injury to a child causing serious bodily harm.

EL PASO, TX — A 29-year-old man from El Paso was arrested Monday and charged with injury to a child causing serious bodily harm, a first degree felony. Johnnie Lee Carter was arrested in the 11000 block of Gateway Boulevard West, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals Service obtained by Patch.
The arrest stems from an incident Sept. 16 where Carter allegedly super-glued his 14-month-old child’s mouth and eyes shut during a domestic incident. Prior to Odessa Police’s arrival, Carter fled the scene and his whereabouts were unknown, the Marshals Service stated.
The subsequent search for Carter led investigators from West Texas to Michigan. He is being held in the El Paso County Detention Facility under a no bond warrant and will face extradition to Ector County, Texas (Odessa) to face this charge, the Marshals Service said.
