Authorities Find Rifles, Pistols In Burning Houston Home
Police say cause of Wednesday morning blaze is under investigation.

HOUSTON, TX — Firefighters battling a fire at a house in the 3600 block of Persimmon Street in north Houston around 2 a.m. on Wednesday called police officers to the scene to examine a small arsenal they had discovered.
Fifteen rifles and several pistols — including what appeared to be fully automatic weapons — were found in the home. Officials said some of the rifles could have been stolen from state including Georgia and California, but provided no further information.
As reported by the Houston Chronicle, authorities said that no one was in the house when the fire broke out, but that someone does reside at the address.
