Dallas-Based Salad Restaurant Coming To Houston
It's called Snappy Salads, and if you like to eat in an environmentally friendly way, it could be for you.

HOUSTON, TX — How about a bowl of greens with Alaskan Sockeye salmon, wild-caught, of course. Or a sautéed crab cake over a bowl of lettuces and roasted red pepper? If those two items sound appealing to you, then you'll be glad to hear that Snappy Salads is coming to Houston.
The Dallas-based restaurant is known for its eco-conscious approach to all aspects of its operations — from the salvaged wood for "gathering" communal tables to chlorine-free paper straws (it's good to keep plastic out of the world's waters) — and that ethos does not overlook the food served by the restaurant.
"We're excited to offer our high-quality salads to our fellow Texans in the Houston area. There are a lot of uninspired salads out there, but Houstonians will now be able to enjoy center-of-the-plate salads like our popular Grilled Avocado or the nutrient-dense Bam Bam Salad," Chris Dahlander, CEO of Snappy Salads, said in a release. "We’re making it easy for more people to eat salads on a daily basis."

Other salads served at the restaurant include ones starring crispy artichoke, beef tenderloin, and yellowfin tuna; there are also (not salads) baked potatoes, cookies, and wraps on the menu
“It is my goal to not only provide our guests with high-quality, healthy dining alternatives, but also to lower our impact on the environment,” Dahlander says. “We have set the bar higher when it comes to social responsibility and want to be the example of how a company can balance environmental initiatives with the bottom line.”
