All in a day's work, here's a video that captures 24 hours of work in 30 seconds, and some fun facts about this weekend's celebration
HOUSTON GALLERIA, TX — Folks in River Oaks, west Houston and all around the Galleria area can visit the mall's kickstart of the holiday season this Saturday at the 29th Annual Ice Spectacular. There will be the lighting of its 55-foot Christmas tree, featuring 450,000 twinkling lights and 5,000 ornaments in a variety of colors and shapes. The tree has been placed, and below is an incredible 30-second video of the 24-hour process.
The 45-minute tree-lighting show will feature a performance by TSoul, semi-finalist from Season 12 of The Voice, a special tribute to veterans and dynamic ice routines by popular professional skaters. The event will culminate with the lighting of the tree by Skating Santa and a fireworks display.

The event at The Galleria – Ice at The Galleria — is free and open to the community. There will be family and children's activities, live entertainment and special in-store events. Things will get going at 6 p.m. and will include ice and musical performances with a countdown to the grand lighting of the tree followed by fireworks.
