Holiday Season, Tree Lighting Starts At The Galleria Nov. 11

There will be a tribute to the veterans, ice routines, professional skaters and performance by TSoul, semifinalist on The Voice

HOUSTON, TX — The Galleria will kickstart the holiday season next weekend with the 29th Annual Ice Spectacular. There will be the lighting of its 55-foot Christmas tree, featuring 450,000 twinkling lights and 5,000 ornaments in a variety of colors and shapes.

The 45-minute tree-lighting show will feature a performance by TSoul, semi-finalist from Season 12 of The Voice, a special tribute to veterans and dynamic ice routines by popular professional skaters. The event will culminate with the lighting of the tree by Skating Santa and a fireworks display.

With a career spanning over 10 years, TSoul’s albums “Love & Music”, "Love & Music Unplugged", "Happy Holidays" and "Purge My Soul" all have gained success independently, gaining him millions of plays on Spotify. His covers and originals, have attracted millions of followers, including artists he’s covered, such as Anthony Hamilton, Erykah Badu and Chris Brown.

The event at The Galleria – Ice at The Galleria — is free and open to the community. There will be family and children's activities, live entertainment and special in-store events. Things will get going at 6 p.m. and will include ice and musical performances with a countdown to the grand lighting of the tree followed by fireworks.

The skating component of the evening will be highlighted by a spectacular group of professional skaters.
