Houston To Bahamas Non-Stop Flights Will Launch In November

Fly directly from Bush Intercontinental Airport on Bahamasair to one of the most popular destinations in the Caribbean

HOUSTON, TX — Getting from Houston to the Bahamas will get one step easier next month as Bahamasair will offer nonstop flights from George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) to Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) in Nassau, Bahamas. Essentially, this connects the 12th busiest airport (IAH) in North America with one of the top tourism destinations in the Caribbean.

The service will begin Nov. 16, 2017, with twice-weekly flights departing IAH at 8 a.m. every Monday and Thursday arriving in Nassau by 11:10 a.m., and departing from Nassau at 4 p.m. every Sunday and Wednesday arriving in Houston by 7:10 p.m.

Bahamas air will offer an introductory rate of $445 round trip including taxes, to make the island getaway inexpensive and convenient for the holidays. Passengers will receive complimentary refreshments, snacks, and their first bag checked free aboard a Boeing 737-500 Series Aircraft. Bahamas air also offers connections to 13 Bahamas Out Islands including Grand Bahama, Abaco, Eleuthera, Bimini and Exuma.

Dionisio D’Aguilar, Bahamas Minister of Tourism and Aviation. "Nassau is a great destination for all types of travelers, as well as the gateway to our Out Islands, and the new Bahamasair service will make planning a vacation to The Bahamas that much easier."

Nassau is quite famous for its luxury resorts, casinos, restaurants and shopping districts in The Bahamas. The islands also offer historical museums and culinary food tours, fishing, diving, snorkeling and boating. There are plenty of attractions and activities for families, couples, groups of friends and solo travelers to enjoy.
