Suspect Arrested For Assault Of Woman At Memorial City Mall
Man approached her from behind and strangled her with a plastic bag, then kicked her repeatedly.

HOUSTON, TX — A man suspected of strangling an beating a woman in a restroom at Memorial City Mall Sunday morning has been arrested, Houston police said. HPD said Maurice Mosley, 27, has been charged with aggravated assault.
Police said that after a 31-year-old woman walked into a restroom around 8:30 a.m. at the mall, she was confronted by an unknown man who approached her from behind and placed a trash bag around her neck. Police said the suspect strangled the victim until she lost consciousness, and then he kicked her repeatedly before fleeing and boarded a METRO bus southbound on Gessner Street.
The woman was taken to an area hospital where she is expected to survive, according to doctors.

Investigators said they identified Mosely using surveillance video, and officers in that area recognized him from previous calls.
