Texadelphia To Open Second Houston Location
Houston went two years without the popular eatery, now it gets a second location on Montrose in addition to the Westheimer store.

HOUSTON, TX — After going two years without a Texadelphia Bar & Grill, the city of Houston is about to get a second in less than a year. Golden Tree Restaurants announced that its second location will open this May on Montrose Blvd.
Texas meets Philly in this unique, Texas-style restaurant that originated out of the Dallas Metroplex. In addition to the traditional Philly cheesesteak (called the Founder's favorite), customers can order a Texican, a South Philly chimichanga, cheesesteak nachos, chicken Cubano, and a myriad of burgers, sandwiches, paninis or salads.
Texadelphia has signed a lease for a 3,500-square-foot space at 3407 Montrose Blvd., which used to be the old Yucatan Taco Stand. This Texadelphia will be inside Hawthorne Square Shopping Center along with or food and drink merchants such as Starbucks, Einstein Bros Bagels, Pizza Love and Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt.

Though there are now 14 Texadelphia franchises across Texas (also including one in Oklahoma City), there wasn't one in the Houston area after the previous one closed in 2015. However, the current one located at 8383 Westheimer Road opened last October, and it's been a hit.
"We are very proud to have reintroduced Texadelphia back to Houston," Mark Parmerlee, president of Texadelphia Operating LLC, said in a press release. "When we opened our first location last year, we received an amazing reception. Our fans are very excited we are back. People from as far as Galveston and Huntsville trekked to our Westheimer location upon our return. Our new location is just the second of many more to come."
