Top 10 Houston Finishers In 2017 Boston Marathon
It's an institution in the running world, and Bayou City athletes made their mark again this year.

The Boston Marathon. Those three words pump adrenalin into the hearts of runners everywhere. The 2017 edition of the hallowed race was held on Monday, and competitors from around the world ran the streets of the city, hoping to beat last year's time.
Geoffrey Kirui, of Kenya, won the men's race, finishing in 2:09:37, besting the U.S.'s Galen Rupp by 21 seconds. Rupp was the second-place finisher. In the women's race, Kenyan policewoman Edna Kiplagat took the honors, coming in at 2:21:52. The men's wheelchair race was won by Marcel Hug, of Switzerland (he set a course record at 1:18:04), and the women's by Manuela Schar, also of Switzerland (1:28:17).
