Year Of The Dog! Galleria Unveils Month-Long Celebration Calendar
Family-friendly activities and in-store offerings kick off the Year of The Dog at iconic shopping mall from Aldo to Yauatcha.

HOUSTON, TX — The Chinese New Year kicks off this Friday, Feb. 16, and The Galleria is rolling out the red carpet to celebrate Lunar New Year, the Year of the Dog. In partnership with Asia Society Texas Center, there will be several activities and performances on the weekends, and many Galleria retailers are celebrating with in-store events, special offerings, limited edition products and more.
Shoppers at The Galleria will notice Lunar New Year wishes displayed throughout the center in both Chinese and English. Perhaps most noticeable is the 625-square-foot Year of the Dog emblem and Lunar New Year messaging that can be seen in the ice on The Galleria’s iconic ice rink throughout the celebrations.
Asia Society Texas Center invites everyone on February 17-18 and February 24-25 for free arts and crafts projects, performances, games and more. All activities will take place from noon-5 p.m. on level one of Galleria VI, near Saks Fifth Avenue.
