Astrodome Architect's Houston Home Can Be Yours: $839,000

Ralph Anderson, who passed away in 1990, designed the midcentury modern home in 1959.

HOUSTON, TX — It's not as large as his most famous commission, but the house on Banks Street is historic in its own right. It was designed by Ralph Anderson, who worked on the world-famous Astrodome, and it could be yours. (The listing can be seen here on Realtor.com.)

The home, a two-bedroom, two-bath midcentury modern built in 1959, was Anderson's residence, and was last sold in 2008. It was originally listed for $875,000 in February, and was recently reduced to $839,000.

The home has been treated to an upgrade, but retains the open and light-filled layout designed by Anderson. The interior courtyard can be viewed from nearly all areas of the house, and the kitchen is perfect for entertaining.
