Houston Weather Alert: Severe Thunderstorm Watch

A strong line of storms is expected to enter the Greater Houston area later tonight. The severe thunderstorm watch expires at midnight.

HOUSTON, TX — A weak cold front will bring some pretty string storms to the region later tonight, per the latest weather forecasts. The storm is entering the northern part of the Brazos Valley at 6 p.m. and is expected to hit Houston around 9:30-10 p.m. tonight. The National Weather Service has issued severe thunderstorm watch 29 in effect until midnight tonight for the following areas in southeast Texas, including 13 counties:

Austin
Colorado
Fort Bend
Grimes
Harris
Liberty
Montgomery
Polk
San Jacinto
Walker
Waller
Washington
Wharton
