Lingerie Football League To Enter Houston Market
The Legends Football League looks to expand beyond eight teams that already includes Austin and add up to 23 more markets, including Dallas.

HOUSTON, TX — The Legends Football League announced today it plans to expand from eight teams of the once-called Lingerie Football League into 33 markets and eventually into Canada and overseas. Houston was dubbed as an expansion team already in place.
The current eight teams include:
- Atlanta Steam
- Austin Acoustic
- Chicago Bliss
- Denver Dream
- Los Angeles Temptation
- Nashville Knights
- Omaha Heart
- Seattle Mist
In a press release on Wednesday, the LFL announced "The LFL’s primary focus will be to build out its US league, however the LFL continues to develop strategy for the launch of LFL Canada, LFL Australia and LFL Europa."

In the States, the LFL has already secured ownership groups in Nashville and Houston and is in active talks as it relates to New York / New Jersey, Arizona, San Francisco, Washington DC / Northern Virginia, North Carolina, Kansas City and Philadelphia.
"These past nine years have been spent tirelessly working to establish a brand and sport that was non-existent prior to 2009. In a very short period of time, in relation to brand evolution standards in sports, especially women’s sport, we have built a sport that has been played in nearly every major continent at major arenas and stadiums, broadcast to over 200+ television markets and drawn stadium crowds of over 22,000 spectators", said Mitchell Mortaza, Managing Partner.
