Man Stabbed To Death in Heights Apartment Complex

HPD knocked on the door at 4:30 a.m. and the woman who answered had blood on her hands. Her boyfriend was dead in the kitchen.

HOUSTON, TX — Houston police responded to a disturbance call in The Heights early Saturday morning and found a man stabbed to death on the kitchen floor of an apartment. The fatal stabbing that occurred at 2302 West 18th Street around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday (April 14) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

According to HPD detectives, patrol officers responded to a disturbance call at Brittany Place Apartments. Officers heard a female talking inside the apartment and knocked on the door. When she answered, officers noticed blood on her clothing. Officers asked if anyone else was inside the apartment and were told her boyfriend was lying on the kitchen floor.

Officers found the male unresponsive and a knife on the floor next to him. Houston Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and pronounced him deceased.

No arrests were reported. Patch will update with details as they become available.
