Morrisey Concert Moves To Sugar Land
Some fans had worried that singer had decided to cancel another Houston gig.

HOUSTON, TX — Morrisey, the former lead singer for The Smiths, is alive and well, and he will, according to his people, perform on Friday night in Houston ... well, make that Sugar Land. The enigmatic and talented performer had originally been scheduled to play at White Oak Music Hall.
According to Pegstar, the show's promoter, recent wet weather necessitated the move to the Smart Financial Centre.
Local fans became worked up over Morrisey's health after hearing that he walked off the stage in Tucson on Monday evening, a victim of distressed vocal cords. He also cancelled a planned Wednesday appearance in San Antonio.

All is well, it seems, and anyone holding tickets to the White Oak gig can use them in Sugar Land; in addition, Pegstar said that tickets can be picked up at Smart Financial Centre will call windows. Doors open at 7 p.m.
There is no definitive answer to the question of what allowed Morrisey to recover so quickly, but as reported in the Houston Chronicle, it could have been a shrine set up by Abrahán Garza at White Oak Music Hall.
