NASA To Webcast Houston Funeral of Eugene Cernan Today
Last man to set foot on the moon will be buried in Austin's Texas State Cemetery.

HOUSTON, TX — Eugene Cernan, the test pilot and astronaut who was the last man to step foot on the surface of the moon, will be laid to rest today in Austin, following a funeral service in Houston that will be broadcast live on the internet.
The funeral ceremony will be held at Saint Martin's Episcopal Church at 2:30 p.m. CST, and NASA is streaming the service online at this link.. (NASA officials said that media cameras would not be allowed in the church during the service, and that no interviews of guests would be granted.)
Cernan, who commanded the Apollo 17 mission and landed on the moon twice, lived in the Piney Point section of Houston and was a staunch supporter of space exploration throughout his retirement. He died on January 16 at the age of 82.
