Gassing up, boarding up, taking a jab at the Dallas Cowboys and telling Harvey to just "Be Nice"

HOUSTON, TX — Hurricane Harvey should make landfall along the Texas coast Friday afternoon or evening. Some towns like Rockport have mandatory evacuations while Corpus Christi and Galveston have voluntary evacuations.

Texans have been filling gas tanks and emptying shelves in grocery stores in preparation for Harvey, which is expected to become a Category 3 storm before it makes landfall.

Most schools in the Houston area have closed. Here is a list of recommended emergency supplies and evacuation routes. And here are images of people around the Texas coast preparing for Harvey.
