Powerball, Mega Millions Both More Than $300 Million Now

With drawings Friday and Saturday night, here are the chances to close out 2017 with hard cash

HOUSTON, TX — Two lottery games are each worth more than $300 million, and how nice would it be to end it with a winning ticket. While bitcoin seems to be the rage, a $3 lottery ticket could be worth a gold mine.

The Mega Millions drawing on Friday is for a jackpot of $306 million while Saturday's Powerball is worth $384 million.

The cash option for Friday night's drawing is $191.1 million. The Mega Millions ticket is $2 with an option for only $1 more per play board — you could increase your non-grand/jackpot prize winnings by 2, 3, 4 or 5 times. You could win up to $5,000,000 without even hitting the jackpot.
