State Semifinals Kick Off Tonight For 12 Texas High Schools

The Texas high school football state semifinals kick off tonight for 12 teams hoping to make it to the state championships Christmas weekend. There will be four games in Class 2A tonight — two in Division I and two in Division II. There's one 3A game tonight and one 4A game.

Tenaha and Burton clash in Crockett tonight while the Wellington Rockets meet Muenster in the other semifinal for 2A Division II. In 2A Div. I, Mart meets Stratford in Snyder and San Augustine takes on Refugio in Cypress.

In 3A Division I, Brock (12-2) plays Kemp (13-1) at 7 p.m. in Arlington’s AT&T Stadium while 4A Div. I has Graham (14-0) playing another unbeaten in Texarkana Pleasant Grove (14-0) at Frisco’s Ford Center.

There will be eight more semifinals on Friday and the final six on Saturday. The schedules, times, dates and locations are listed below.

The high school state championships will be Dec. 20-23 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
