Texas HS Football Playoff Scores, State Semifinal Games Set

The regional finals wrapped up Saturday night in the Texas high school football playoffs, and there were certainly some thrillers around the state this weekend. In Class 6A Division II, Longview outlasted longtime rival Lufkin, 33-32, and will advance to face a scary-good Hewitt Midway team that beat Southlake Carroll on Saturday.

In Waller on Saturday afternoon, College Station won a shootout over Fort Bend marshall, 49-47, and will advance to face a very good Austin McCallum team at NRG Stadium on Saturday night (Dec. 16). Highland Park and Denton Ryan will face each other this weekend in 5A Div. I, and a heavyweight clash in 4A Div. I looks like it'll be a fantastic game between Carthage (14-0) against Waco La Vega (14-0) this Friday in Frisco.
