Truth BBQ Announces Houston Location

Folks who made the long drive to the Hill Country or Brenham can now get the Truth flavor inside the Houston Loop

HOUSTON, TX — One of the newest popular barbeque joints in Texas will expand into Houston as Truth BBQ announced its new location on Friday. Truth, which is based in Brenham just an hour northwest of Houston, will move to 110 S. Heights Blvd.

Although Leonard Botello IV first opened Truth BBQ in 2015, it quickly rose into Texas Monthly's coveted Top 10 BBQ restaurants. Botello announced earlier this month he would expand into Houston, more specifically inside the inner loop.

Truth BBQ, like most savvy Texas BBQ joints, specializes in a brisket that's out of this world. They have homemade sausage every day as well as tender and flavorful turkey and pulled pork. Sides include pinto beans, macaroni and cheese and other BBQ restaurant staples.

Botello and business partner Johnny Carrabba signed a lease to take over the space once occupied by Black's Feel Good Kitchen & Lounge. The Botello family has operated restaurants before, like Cafe Annice in Lake Jackson. Botello IV managed the 50 employees at Cafe Annice before deciding to venture out into his own.

The company didn't give a time frame on when they would open.
