Winning Powerball Numbers For Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, $700M Jackpot Big As Texas
Prize drawn on Wednesday will represent second-largest in U.S. history assuming someone beats the 1-in-292-million odds of winning

HOUSTON, TX — Two Houston area stores have sold million dollar Powerball tickets within the last two weeks, but nobody has hit the ultimate jackpot yet, including last Saturday night. Now the big prize sits at $700 million for tonight's drawing.
It's the second-largest Powerball jackpot in U.S. history. It's a ridiculously-large amount, surpassed only by last summer's $1.1 billion jackpot that was ultimately won by a California couple. The cash payout for Wednesday's $700 million drawing will be a cool $443.3 million.
The drawing will take place at around 10:10 p.m. tonight. Revisit this story later for an updated version that includes the winning numbers.

The Houston area has seen a $1 million winner and a $2 million winner during this Powerball cycle that started June 10 — which is 21 consecutive drawings without a match. The $1 million ticket was sold at Heights Food Mart two weeks ago, and the $2 million ticket was sold at a gas station in Humble.

The prize has been rolling over for more than two months with no one matching all six winning numbers. It's been rollover after rollover since June 10 — 21 straight drawings without a winning match.
The winning numbers for Saturday that nobody drew were 17-19-39-43-68 and Powerball 13. You still might want to check your ticket, as there are smaller consolation prizes for matching some, if not all, of the numbers.
If someone does manage to match all six numbers this coming Wednesday, Aug. 23, that person or people will have beaten gargantuan odds. The odds of winning this monstrous jackpot are one in 292.2 million, according to statisticians.
The national lottery, Powerball is played in 44 states as well as Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
