Congressman Ted Poe, contest winners celebrated by City of Humble

U.S. Congressman Lloyd Theodore Poe, affectionately known as Ted, was honored before a standing room-only crowd at the Humble City Council Meeting Thursday, Jan. 10. Poe retired from Congress after serving as the first Republican to represent Texas’s 2nd congressional district, where he held office in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2005 to 2019.
A few bills Poe recently sponsored are: H.R. 7292 (115th): Megan Rondini and Leah Griffin Sexual Assault Victims Protection Act of 2018; H.R. 7222: Megan Rondini Sexual Assault Victims Protection Act of 2018; and H.R. 6797: Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2018.
