Deputies Need Help Finding Porter Robbery Suspect

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is looking for info about a man who robbed a cash store in Porter.

PORTER, TX — The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is looking for information about a man who robbed a check cashing store in Porter.

On Monday, Aug. 29, a black male — about 5'11", 175 lbs., late 20's to early 30's— wearing a white shirt, navy cargo pants, black boots with a white shirt draped over his head entered the Cash Store in the 23600 block of Kelly Joe Smith in Porter.

The man approached two employees, who heard what sounded like a gun cocking, and demanded money. The employees gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money. He got into a late model, black Chevy Impala with white racing stripes and drove off on the U.S. 59/I-69 northbound service road.
