HISD approves pay raises in unprecedented $18.7 million package

Humble ISD approved raises for its 6,000 teachers and staff at the June board meeting as part of an overall $18.7 million compensation package. They are going to receive a pay raise of at least 4%, and in the case of teachers, librarians, nurses and counselors, an incentive payment of $1,400 in either one installment in December or split between December and May 2020.

HB3 provides substantial monies along with directives on how and where to spend it, including school district compensation plans.
