Huffman ISD celebrates financial transparency award, improved STAAR scores
The July 22 Huffman ISD Board of Trustees meeting, the last before the school year begins, addressed tax-refunding bonds, the district’s five-year plan, revised board meeting dates, STAAR results and more.
Dr. Joel Nolte proclaimed that the district received the Financial Transparency Star from the Texas comptroller for posting financial information on the district website and for going above and beyond to keep the public informed.
Nolte also presented the 2018-2019 Academic Report. The STAAR scores from each grade level and subject area, AP current year score summary, dual-credit course completion summary and CTE certification summary were all presented in color-coded charts for attendees.
