Huffman ISD discusses Falcon Stadium turf

(Tribune)

Many parents and community members are aware of the damaged turf at Huffman ISD’s Falcon Stadium. The turf, 10 years old, sustained a high degree of damage during Hurricane Harvey. Recently, the Huffman school district solicited bids for replacement and the addition of a protective layer underneath to lessen the amount of injuries and concussions.
“Due to the commencement of the following football season, this project needs to be completed sooner than later in order to keep our students safe on the fields. The added layer of protection and the heat-reduction pellets will go a long way in protecting our kids,” stated Huffman ISD Superintendent Dr. Benny Soileau.
