Huffman ISD recognizes hundreds of students and discusses STAAR results
On May 20, the monthly board of trustees meeting for Huffman ISD recognized students and staff and addressed preliminary fifth- and eighth-grade STAAR results, the annual School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) report and more.
Prior to the call to order, Superintendent Dr. Benny Soileau and fellow board members presented recognition awards or certificates to the valedictorian and salutatorian, Visual Arts Scholarship Event recipients, 2019 Scholastic Art and Writing National Award winners, Do the Write Thing Texas Challenge winners, School Health Advisory Council students, track and tennis state qualifiers, Academic All-State winners, Bass Club state qualifiers, Technology state winners and Huffman Hargrave High School UIL academic winners.
