Huffman ISD trustees discuss remote learning devices, early voting dates

On Aug. 3, the Huffman ISD Board of Trustees met remotely to let the superintendent enter into an inter-local agreement with Region 4 regarding student remote learning devices and changed dates for early voting and the school board election.
This quick meeting was called due to the time-sensitive nature of both topics. The district had already seen a need to purchase several hotspots, iPads and synchronous/asynchronous software programs to allow students at every grade level to become educated remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That said, the district has a need to be reimbursed for these necessary and important expenses.
