Humble City Council approves tax rate increase
On Sept. 24, the Humble City Council members held a public hearing regarding the proposed property tax rate for the 2020 tax year. The proposal included an increase of $0.258693 per $100 valuation, or 1.07% total tax, which was approved by all present members of the council.
Subsequently, the board also approved Ordinance 20-881, covering the vacating, abandonment and closing of the city-owned portion of 60 feet (1.929 acres) of the Cedar Pond Drive right-of-way.
