Humble-Kingwood Patch's 2016 Holiday Event Guide

Whether it's breakfast with Santa or a Christmas farm, Patch knows where readers can get into the holiday spirit this season.

HUMBLE-KINGWOOD, TX - There is something for everyone in the Humble-Kingwood area this holiday season. The Humble-Kingwood Patch celebrates the season of giving with a collection of holiday events for readers of all ages.

  • Christmas in the Park: Town Center Park, located in the heart of Kingwood, plays host to a Christmas celebration Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., featuring a festival and tree lighting. Shops, entertainment, vendors, fanciful eateries, artists and Santa Claus will be on site.


  • Breakfast with Santa: Members of the Kingwood and Humble communities are invited to breakfast with Santa Claus on Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Atascocita Volunteer Fire Department in Humble. The cost to attend is $5, which includes pancakes, sausage, fruit, pictures with Sant, glitter tattoos for children, crafts, coffee, juices and milk.

  • Snowball Run: The seventh, annual Snowball Run, presented by Pines Montessori School and taking place Dec. 3 from 9-11 a.m., is intended serious runners and those looking for some serious fun. There's something for everyone this year, with the run set to feature a USATF-sanctioned, chip-timed 5K, a 1K and a 100-yard dash. There will also be cash prizes, a DJ, dancing, rock wall, snowball fight, activities for children and a scenic greenbelt course. Interested participants are encouraged to arrive dressed in their wintery best. Prizes for best adult female, best adult male costume and fastest runners will be awarded.


  • Holiday at the Harbor: Kings Harbor Waterfront Village sets the scene for a fun-filled afternoon of live music, photos with Santa Claus and family-friendly activities presented by L3 Foundation on Dec. 10 from 1-4 p.m. There will also be an opportunity to watch teams "deck the harbor," competing in a window-decorating contest.

  • Santa's Farm: Happening at Kingwood FFA Ag Barn at 1705 Woodland Hills Dr., Santa's farm is open to children of all ages on Dec. 2 from 5-9 p.m. Families are invited to come out to see Santa Claus, visit the barn animals and horses, listen to music and enjoy a hay ride. Food will be available for purchase, and cookies and hot chocolate will be available for free.
