Each year a report is released giving the crime statistics in cities across the United States. For several consecutive years, the City of Humble has been listed as one of the ‘most dangerous’ cities in the U.S. Many residents of this quaint community can’t imagine how those statistics were generated. Recently, Humble Police Chief Delbert C. Dawes helped to unravel the mystery.
In the past, whenever crime statistics for Humble were released, Dawes would openly denounce the FBI for what he considered the intentional release of skewed numbers. However, due to a recent discovery that a third party releases these figures and not the FBI, Dawes has begun to view the situation differently.
