Kingwood Drainage Committee discusses initiatives to improve Kingwood's ditches, bayous
The Harris County Flood Control District recently authorized a study of Kingwood’s ditches and bayous. The Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone 10, referred to as TIRZ, is contributing $100,000 for the scope to be extended. Therefore, the Kingwood Drainage Committee held a public meeting March 20 at the Kingwood Community Center to field local resident comments and questions about several up-and-coming initiatives to improve the state of the local wetlands and diversion ditches of Kingwood.
