Kingwood Hit With Series of Smash and Grab Robberies
Crooks demolish three Kingwood convenience stores with pickup trucks in one night.

KINGWOOD, TX — Call 'em the gang that can't steal straight. In the spate of one night three Kingwood convenience stores were hit, quite literally, in three smash and grab robberies.
The perps' M.O. was pretty simple: boost some pickup trucks and run the trucks into convenience stores. The thing is, that after causing an untold amount of damage to some local small businesses, the perps didn't really steal anything.
Five-oh doesn't think the robbers got away with anything more than maybe some beers, cigarettes and a few nutty buddies. The cash registers and safes were untouched.

The plan, such as it was, was so poorly executed that at one of the stores, the perps wedged their improvised battering ram into the debris field so tightly that the truck had to be abandoned.
As is customary to say, the investigation is ongoing.
