Kingwood Intersection to be Reviewed for Traffic Signal Removal

The intersection of Kingwood Drive and Royal Forest Drive will be reviewed for the removal of traffic signals.

Kingwood, TX -- Starting Monday, July 11, the city of Houston's Public Works and Engineering Department will be placing advisory signs Royal Forest Drive and Kingwood Drive.

The signs will let drivers know that the city is considering removing the stop lights from the intersection. The signs will be up until August 1, when the stop lights will be deactivated and replaced with stop signs.

From August 1 to September 30, traffic on Kingwood drive will not stop at the intersection. Drivers will continue as if there is no signal. Additionally, the westbound turn lane on Kingwood Drive will be closed.
