Lone Star College Selected for Pathways Project
Lone Star College was selected to participate in a program looking at how students transition from high school to college.

Kingwood, TX -- Lone Star College was selected to participate in a program that examines how students transition from a public high school to a college or university.
The program, called the Texas Pathways Project, is funded by the Greater Texas Foundation, a Bryan-based nonprofit focused on increasing post-secondary enrollment and completion.

Lone Star was one of 12 schools throughout the state selected to participate in the project. Also selected were Houston Community College, Brazosport College in Lake Jackson, Dallas County College District and Austin Community College.
The participating colleges will take part in institutes, also known as weekend seminars. The institutes will be held every six months and they are designed to help participants implement structured student pathways. The first institute will take place Nov. 2-4, 2016, in Bastrop.
