Man Shot Dead After Answering Front Door In Kingwood: Sheriff
A 26-year-old man was killed in the "brazen" shooting, according to officials and news reports.
KINGWOOD, TX — Authorities are investigating a "brazen" killing in Kingwood where a man was shot and killed as he answered the front door, officials said.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the shooting happened in the 22800 block of Lantern Hills Drive Saturday night. A man knocked on the front door and fired multiple times at the resident who answered the door, authorities said.
The shooting happened around 9:15 p.m. The suspect then fled the scene in a dark SUV.

KHOU reported that the victim was identified as 26-year-old Tennyson Smith.
Gonzalez issued an appeal to community members in the Kingwood asking if they reviewed their security cameras or if they have any information to contact 713-221-6000.
